Ford Township Board Supervisor Vacancy Announcement
Supervisor Seat 2 on the Ford Township Board has recently been vacated, creating an open position to be filled in accordance with township procedures. The vacancy shall be addressed by an appointment committee consisting of the remaining board supervisors and the town clerk. The individual selected will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term, ending January 3, 2027.
To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must be a qualified voter, at least 21 years of age, able to pass a background check, and a resident of Ford Township for a minimum of 30 days prior to assuming office.
The Ford Township Board is responsible for the governance and administration of township functions, including oversight of road and infrastructure maintenance, provision of public safety services such as fire protection, decision-making related to zoning and land use, and maintenance of township facilities. Township supervisors are expected to participate in one to two meetings per month to conduct official business, fulfill fiscal responsibilities, and remain accessible to residents throughout their term. Ford Township Planning Commission Vacancy
Ford Township is seeking a Ford Township resident to serve on the Planning Commission for a three-year term beginning February 1, 2026. The Planning Commission advises the Town Board on zoning, land use, and long-range planning, reviews proposals, participates in public hearings, and makes recommendations that support orderly growth, environmental stewardship, and alignment with the township’s Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

The Ford Township Planning Commission will meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., beginning on Monday September 22, 2025. Meetings will be held at the Ford Town Hall.
